Zubizuri showing her sexy bottom

I’d already published another photo of Zubizuri Bridge in The sexiest bridge in the world, but I love this bridge so much that it warrants a second photo in this blog. How many bridges have an attractive bottom?

The sexiest bridge in the world

I loved this bridge. I first saw it in the evening I arrived, and took a few trial shots on the phone. I knew I’d be coming back here again and again. This shot was actually taken during early afternoon, not a time to do it any justice. I just noticed the angle and had to shoot it. Of course, the light was all wrong, but it was perfect for monochrome! In my opinion.

River Nervion in the morning

Bilbao. I spend 3 nights here and lots of photos were taken, I can tell you. It’s hard to pick out my favourites, but from time to time, I’ll pick out one and post here. This one gets here because I have a thing about rivers. This was my first morning walk and Nervion here projects peace and calm, the lone man with his phone adding to the feeling. The gentle ripples of the river suggests a gentle Bilbao…

Promenade of the Sad Ones

Granada is a very photogenic city and I’d dare say a fair few from my recent trip will make their way here.

This used to be part of the funeral route leading to the cemetry. Nowadays, it’s touted as one of the most scenic routes in the world, etc. It’s a pleasant enough walk, but nothing close to what the tourist board would have you believed.

I like this for the depth, for the light and shadows, for the little stream… The tonalities and the composition convey to me a sense of the sadness that I seeked.

Isabel II bridge (Triana) by night, Seville

I haven’t taken many night shots as I don’t tend to walk around with a tripod, but I was quite pleased with this shot, taken with the camera placed on top of a wall.
